This morning, animal control and a team of agents stormed a game farm and removed 100 birds used for cockfighting.
The animal control agency that made the bust will only release the roosters to Danzig's Roost because they have worked with us before. What we need in order to save them is immediate housing and to cover the cost of transport. Once the birds have arrived, we need to get them into appropriate and enriched shelters and runs.
We desperately need your help to get these birds into appropriate housing and out of kennels once they arrive. They cannot be removed from a situation of cruelty to be left in kennels with nothing in life to enjoy. Hard decisions will be faced without your help.
